Amerex 361 17 lb Halon 1211 Fire Extinguisher

The 361 sits at the large end of the Amerex Halon 1211 hand-portable range: 17 lb of agent, a 4A:80B:C rating, and a 22-second discharge reaching 12 to 18 feet. Halon 1211 leaves the hose as a vapor rather than a liquid or a powder, so there is no cold shock, no static shock and no obscured vision for the operator — and nothing left behind on computers, tape and film, laboratory equipment or aircraft engines. Amerex charges these units with reclaimed Halon 1211 restored to original military specification, using recycled gas in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. Manufacture of new Halon 1211 extinguishers has since been discontinued.
