It shares the 3A:40B:C rating and 18.94 inch height of the standard B461, so mounting and code coverage are unchanged. Amerex builds it for longevity with durable high gloss polyester powder paint, all-metal valve construction and chrome cylinders, plus a heavy duty chrome plated brass valve body with stainless steel handle and lever. On Class A fires the agent melts at approximately 350F to chemically insulate and coat the burning surface; on Class B fires it smothers the flame and breaks the chain reaction without conducting electricity back to the operator.
