What is the Amerex 06809?

Amerex 06809 is the 55 cu. ft. nitrogen cylinder, charged and supplied with its cap, listed as item 17 in Amerex Parts Book 27277 Rev D, printed page 19, for the 300/350 lb wheeled extinguishers, models 491 and 493. It is the expellant gas source that pressurizes the agent cylinder when the 'T' handle valve is opened. Owner's Service Manual PN 05614 says the gauge shall read approximately 2015 psi at 70°F, calls for repressurizing to 2015 psi or replacing the cylinder if pressure falls below 1700 psi, and requires hydrostatic retest per DOT regulations. The shipping cap must be installed whenever the cylinder is transported.
