It bundles the valve body, gauge, gauge guard, cam, valve lever, valve stem assembly, spring, and downtube/retainer assembly as one factory unit; before it is installed at six-year complete maintenance the service manual calls for cleaning the o-ring seating groove in the cylinder neck and lubricating the entire sealing area with a thin film of V-711.
