What is the Amerex 09399?
Amerex 09399 is the 0.625 in. nozzle tip for Amerex 250 lb ABC dry chemical stored pressure wheeled High Performance and Z-Series extinguishers, models 573 and 756; models 575, 690, 758 and 759 use the 0.531 in. tip, part 08260. The tip works with the ball valve assembly to form the shutoff nozzle at the end of the 1 in. by 50 ft. discharge hose. Amerex publishes an effective range of agent throw of 50 to 70 feet for these units and instructs operators to move the extinguisher within about 50 feet of the fire, stand back 30 feet, and aim the nozzle at the base of the flames nearest them. It is item 25 on Amerex Parts Book 27277 Rev D, printed page 20 (PDF page 22).
