What is the Amerex 22984?
Amerex 22984 is the valve stem assembly for the Amerex Model 775 150 lb SF 1230 wheeled clean agent extinguisher, listed as item 15, part 22984, Valve Stem Assembly, on Parts Book PN 27277 REV D, page 26 (PDF page 28). It is a scheduled replacement part. At the six-year complete maintenance the valve is removed and disassembled, the old valve stem assembly and collar O-ring are discarded, and a new Amerex valve stem assembly is installed after the valve stem O-ring is lightly lubricated with V-711 or equivalent; the valve stem seal itself is not lubricated.
