What is the Amerex 23634?
Amerex 23634 is the complete shut-off nozzle assembly, ball valve and .531 tip together, for the Amerex Model 775 150 lb SF 1230 wheeled clean agent extinguisher, listed as item 10, part 23634, Nozzle Assembly (Ball Valve and Tip) .531, on Parts Book PN 27277 REV D, page 26 (PDF page 28). It attaches to the end of the 1 in. by 40 ft. discharge hose and is stored in the nozzle mount with the lever closed. In use the nozzle is opened by pulling the handle toward the operator, held firmly against discharge recoil, and closed by pushing the lever forward when the fire is out. Amerex replacement parts must be used to protect the UL listing and keep the warranty in effect.
